Rauf Hasan was released from Adiala Jail

                    

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Information Secretary Rauf Hassan was released from Adiala Jail Rawalpindi.

According to Dawn News, Rauf Hasan was released from Adiala Jail after receiving a notice of release.

The Anti-Terrorism Court issued the release warrant. Advocate Shaista Khosa and Raja Yasir left with Rauf Hasan. Earlier, the Anti-Terrorism Court of Islamabad had approved the bail application against Rauf Hasan in an arms smuggling/terror financing case. Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra issued a written decision to approve the bail application of Rauf Hassan after arguments on the bail application. According to the decision, Rauf Hassan was not named in the case, nor were any weapons or explosives recovered from him. Rauf Hassan was included in the case on the statement of the main accused Ahmed Waqas. Rauf Hasan used to give money, nothing was recovered from Rauf Hasan during physical remand, nor was anything found on his identification, no evidence was found regarding providing money for Rauf Hasan's arms and explosives. Accordingly, Rauf Hasan was interrogated based on the statement given by the main accused Ahmed Waqas in police custody. The statement given by an accused in police custody cannot be used against the co-accused, Rauf Hasan, 75 years old. are suffering from severe diseases, Rauf Hasan is suffering from heart disease and has recovered from cancer, Rauf Hasan is an educated person, and has no record of past crimes, the investigation against Rauf Hasan has been completed, he told the prosecution. Not even wanted, Rauf Hasan's bail is granted on a bond of Rs 2 lakh after his arrest.
